Is It Ever Too Late to Change?

It is never too late to start creating change in your life. There are plenty of examples of people who found success later in life.

  • The Duncan Hines cake products you see in the grocery store are a good example. Hines did not write his first food guide until age 55 and he did not license his name for cake mixes until age 73.
  • Samuel L. Jackson starred alongside John Travolta in Pulp Fiction at the age of 46. He has now been in more movies and commercials than I care to remember.
  • Ray Kroc was age 59 when he bought his first McDonald’s and Sam Walton opened his first Wal-Mart at the age of 44.

I could keep going, but I think you get the point. As long as you have a sound mind and oxygen in your lungs, you have the ability to improve your life.

The fact that you are asking the question, tells me you have a sound mind.

A word of caution. Make sure you set realistic goals and that you are making the change for YOU. If you do it for anyone else (including your parents), it will not work long-term. You are trying to change behaviors that you have been doing for 40 years. This is not going to be easy, but it is possible.

Start small and keep stacking positive events, one on top of another. Even when you face a setback, do not allow that discourage you. Just keep stacking positive events. Never allow a negative event to be followed by another negative event and you will win.

Continued Blessings,
